Holly Humberstone’s Cruel World Isn’t Over Yet

BY SASHA BASANT

After a summer packed with a North America Tour and festival appearances, Holly Humberstone has announced that her second album Cruel World will be getting a deluxe edition Cruel World… So It Ends. Released via Polydor Records, the expanded album will feature five new tracks including her latest single "Too Cute To Be Lonely."

The deluxe edition is set for release on November 13th, adding a new phase to the Cruel World chapter. Humberstone got her start at the young age of 17. From there, the English singer-songwriter began making waves with her debut EP Can You Afford To Lose Me? in 2022. Her track “Falling Asleep At The Wheel” quickly became one of her most recognizable songs surpassing 81 million streams. Her career continued to blossom as she won the Brit award for rising star in 2022 and went on to open for major artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift.

Her latest single "Too Cute To Be Lonely" offers a brighter, almost romantic twist on loneliness. Rather than that loneliness becoming heartbreak, "Too Cute To Be Lonely" finds something fun, messy, and almost hopeful in that feeling of wanting the night to last a little bit longer.
